Lucky for me on October 16th I was able to try HERCUT a new hairstyling product.
As a hairstylist myself I am always looking for the new product which is going to make life easier for my client and myself! I’m also always looking for a product that will empower my clients with what they need to maintain a fabulous haircut. I think my search just ended!

Studio BeautyMix at Fred Segal is who had this exclusive sneak peek!
I hadn’t washed my hair that day so I was definitely in need of a blowout, however I have a chin length shaggish cut and want to retain piecey texture even with a blowout. How you say? HerCut the Shag Catalyst.

Adina Pak applied the catalyst to my hair and began to blowdry as I learned more about the product. There are 5 different catalysts: The Bob, Long Layers, The Shag, The Blunt, and the Pixie.

HerCut was developed with the idea of instead of creating a product for hair type creating a product to enhance each women’s haircut! This is revolutionary as far as I’m concerned! You mean they can style their hair the same way as when they’ve just left the salon?!

This is due to their thixotropic technology which negatively and positively charges the hair to create the best texture. This works for instance with the Shag catalyst using patent pending Ionicon polymer by coating the strand and then molecules that are positively and negatively charged cause the strands to push away from one another creating massive amounts of spontaneous texture. The blunt catalyst has Compress-ion Polymer molecules that link together which ensures sleek unified texture. Long Layers catalyst has Inter-spring polymer to create volume and texture.

I wore my blowout for the entire weekend and it just looked better every day. I am very impressed with how well the product’s results lasted and am looking forward to doing my own blowout today. I will be trying out the entire product line at Sugar Salon and continuing my reviews.
If you want an easy, all in one no brainer product for your new style or even makeover cut, look no further than HERCUT.

At 13 I was ugly. My arms were too long for my body, I was super skinny and my nose was too big for my face. 13 is when you’re in the 7th grade. Lots of girls had breasts by then, I did not. Lots of girls had boyfriends, I did not. I hadn’t even had a kiss and from the way I felt I looked it didn’t seem like that was a possibility anywhere in the near future.

So I thought I would seek out some encouragement from my mother. Now, my mother is one of my biggest fans, however sometimes she lacks tact with her honesty. I spent a lot of time in the mirror analyzing every hideous feature of me at this time in my life and after one particular long scrutinization I went to talk to my mom.
“Mom, do you think I’m pretty?” long pause.
“Every child is beautiful to their parent” Wow, so I guess the answer is no, is what I thought. Now you may be thinking this is terrible but I find it hilarious. I didn’t when it happened but now I have self esteem, and generally like what I see in the mirror. I always liked beauty and makeup and hairstyling, but I think this event contributed to my passion. Afterwards I started trying all those home beauty treatments, mayo deep conditioners, egg white masks and a beauty addict was born.

So here I am, on a quest for all things and definitions of beauty. I’m on a quest for what I feel to be truly beautiful within myself and others. I also love love love trying all the new beauty treatments and products out there and sharing all my knowledge. Ask me anything.
